My Proposal

Dear Mrs. Boutilier,
Professional student was a program that I enjoyed and looked forward to as a middle school student. All my hard work and good behavior was recognized and was rewarded. As the years went by, the program was cut and I’ve decided to bring it back. I plan to work with the middle school staff to recognize the students who work hard and are always well behaved. Every month there will be a selection of professional students that are going to be chosen. They will receive some benefits of being professional students. When chosen they will be sent into the cafeteria and will receive a treat of some kind such as munchkins or candy. I will be in charge of coordinating the event in the cafeteria and making sure that all the bracelets are passed out to the students.
The importance of recognizing student academic and behavioral achievement. This is a very important topic to talk about. Students who work hard and do what they are supposed to do deserve to be rewarded so they have something to look forward to. It is related to my project because I basically made a program that rewards students who are doing what they are supposed to do. Some artifacts I plan on collecting are the professional students' bracelets, the cards, and some photos of the students with their bracelets.
My mentor will be Mrs. Santos. Her email is [email protected]. I feel like she would be very qualified to be my mentor because she is very involved with it. I feel like she wants the program to get started and she has already given me some advice for the program. A stretch for me would be showing up to school and doing what I need to do because I do miss a couple of days of school sometimes. My learning stretch would be learning how to get everything ready on my own and making sure everything is organized for the program because I know that the teachers are very overwhelmed with everything and are very busy. I don’t want to add more to their plate when I know that they’re very busy.
Sincerely,
Sumeja Jauzovic
